About Authortunities

Authortunities Press champions poetry, speculative literature, and the writers who create it. We publish bold, imaginative work while building more accessible, sustainable pathways for authors, editors, artists, and readers.

Our flagship publication is Space & Time, a magazine founded in 1966 by Gordon Linzner and now one of the oldest continuously published speculative magazines still in print. For over six decades, Space & Time has published science fiction, fantasy, horror, poetry, art, and the beautifully strange. Today, we carry that legacy forward through curated monthly issues featuring themed speculative flash fiction and poetry from emerging and established voices.

Beyond the magazine, Authortunities Press publishes books and supports writers through editorial care, production guidance, layout, formatting, contributor promotion, and direct sales. Our goal is to help writers publish with more confidence, more ownership, and more connection while keeping bold, boundary-crossing literature alive and accessible.

Direct purchases through the Authortunities Press shop offer the strongest support for our authors and the press.

Our Mission Statement

Authortunities Press and Space & Time Magazine champion poetry, speculative literature, and the writers who create it. Founded in 1966, Space & Time is a historic literary magazine dedicated to publishing bold, imaginative work and carrying that legacy into a more accessible and sustainable future. Through publication, editorial care, community programming, accessible editions, contributor promotion, and fairer compensation, we support emerging, established, and historically underrepresented voices whose work crosses boundaries, challenges silence, and gives writers the tools, visibility, and encouragement to keep making art.
